My wife asked me how many 'tool boxes' I own the other day.

And I still can't answer her, even after I went and did some looking, and actually worked at a bit of consolidation and cleaning of same.

There is, of course, TWO in the camper, one for the 'truck' part and one for the 'camper' part of it.

And two in the van. One for the van itself, and the "bag full of crap" I used to take into work when somebody wanted something done THIS MONTH and didn't want wait for facilities to get around to it. They'd ask me to come up and move something, or fix something, or put a sliding keyboard drawer under the admin's desk, and I'd ask them what time they got in in the morning and I'd meet them there with the tools needed to do whatever it was.

I have a small 'grab and go' toolbox to take with me now down to the church or one of the relatives house with some basic essentials in it for the same reason now.

Then there is the Big Green Drill and Big Saws All boxes, with the specialized equipment both of them require. The green drill is a 1/2 inch rotary hammer, and the big saw can cut your car in half.

Then there are smaller 'civilian' versions of both of those that get a lot more use.

And a tool box full of "painting crap", and one with a sander and sand paper in it. Then there is a small box full of jewelry and watch repair stuff that I've accumulated from being married and having daughters. Fixing a necklace or something is a LOT CHEAPER than buying her a new one, usually on short notice.

And there's one that is just the catch all for everything else. If you can't find the big staple gun, it's in that one.

So while there is a great deal of madness associated with the topic, there is...well, there is supposed to be a method to it.

However, as I have learned something else from being married a long time, I didn't turn it around and ask her how many boxes and totes and bins of Sewing and Stamping and other Craft stuff she has.

No. I didn't.

I dont even own ONE tool box! I have a junk drawer with a couple tools in it though.

Well, yeah, I know people like that, I did in Delaware, and I do here now as well.

"While you're here, can you see what's wrong with the garbage disposal?"

And that's why I have that bag of junk in the van.
