Anybody here remember this block on the Cartoon Network a ways back? And all the great shows it had like Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing, Big O, and others? I loved it and really miss it. Personally, I wish they'd bring it back, but maybe as its own channel. And have the good stuff on it like what I mentioned.

I never watched Cartoon Network.

Toonami introduced me to anime. That's where I came to know about DBZ and Naruto and One Piece ...

They need to bring back all of the oldies. I miss Boomerang the most.

Same here man. And they got rid of Boomerang? And why's that Churro!?

Ratings.

This does not mean that the show is bad but that there's a loss of interest (viewer interest or monetary interest). Also Cartoon Network (being a kid's network and all) constantly has to change it's lineup. A lot of the kids networks do this. After Cartoon Network stopped showing some shows they sold them to networks like DisneyXD and Jetix (which is also owned by Disney) to make room for newer series.

A lot of Cartoon Network's programming blocks have changed. I still remember when Cased Closed and Lupin III used to be on Adult Swim, they even considered pulling King of the Hill but the ratings went back up (thank god).

Fooly Cooly: Awesome but way too short.

You should, it's arguably one of the best animes out there, critically acclaimed too.

Toonami became it's own channel, it was a rebranding of CNX (Cartoon Network Extra I think) I watched Dragonball & Tenchi in Tokyo on there man

For real? It still around? And man.. I hated what happened between Tenchi and that girl.

Cowboy Bebop is legendary, but I have only seen this on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block. My favorite anime shows on Toonami were Rorouni Kenshin, Gundam, and YuYu Hakusho.

DBZ is another legendary show. Shows like Zatch Bell! were hit and miss. Naruto was an instant hit.

Bobobo was so ridiculous from its plot to its characters that you just had to love it.

Anyone remember MegasXLR?

It's not still around and I can't remember what happened haha. I don't know how it worked in the US, but yeah, it was it's own Channel here in England.

MegasXLR sounds familiar. And Bobobo... wasn't that that bizarre show involving a guy with a yellow fro? Sadly, I never got to see the entire series of Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho. Always wanted too though.

Ah darn, much thanks though!

Bobo-bo-bobobo made FLCL look normal in my opinion, of course I watched Bobo-bo-bobobo first, but lost interest in it and that was back in '06 or '07.

Watched FLCL this year, though.

I think MegasXLR was obviously about robots(Chicks dig giant robots!)

Love Zatch Bell

Toonami used to be so much better back in the day. I've seen it on a few times now since it's come back...and meh. Can't get into it. I was a big fan of Toonami and advocate of it's return before it actually returned when I was a younger. Can't blame age...I'm watching Captain Earth at the moment and last I checked I'm still 26...
