Pet owners: What was the coolest (or practical) tricks you've ever taught your pet to do?

I have never been successfully able to train an animal to do anything cool or useful.

Same goes for new employees at jobs I've had.

Haha. I taught my girl cat how to fetch, although she was naturally inclined to chase whatever thing I threw and bring it back to me. She did this more when she was younger, and will only do it now with those little twisty tie things. I always have to make sure she doesn't actually eat them, but she's never tried to anyway.
