Trying to get out a deep splinter...

What can I do?



Mom's tried using tweezers, nail clippers and a pin, and yet nothing.



What else could I try to get the splinter out?

Dig it out with a needle I guess. Might not be very pleasant but as long as you dont go too deep, you wont bleed. Its just stuck in your skin.

If all else fails just wait, your body will push it out. If it's seriously that big then do as Nebulous said and dig it out.

Not yet. Tried again this morning with the same stuff as yesterday and nothing came out. Broke skin and blood came out and mom pushed around trying to get it to surface, and used the tweezers but it's still in there.

Elmer's glue or rubber cement. Put a thick layer over the area the splinter is located, allow the glue to dry, peel it off once it is totally dry and the splinter should come with it.

Agreed. I usually just take Nebulous's route and dig them out.
