What is a TV series that started well but has just lost its way?

That 70's Show was hilarious for most of its run but the final season was completely devoid of funny.

The West Wing after Sorkin left. Every single character changed completely, and so did the storylines. Some episodes were good, and some of the acting (Alan Alda especially), but it still lacked that spark from the first 4 seasons.

- Family Guy... Wait... That show never had it to begin with...
- Spongebob SquarePants. After the first Spongebob movie, the series was starting to lose it. Later, Stephen Hillenburg left and gave the rights to SpongeBob to somebody else. Now looked what happened to the show...

M*A*S*H

It had a good run, but it dropped the humor somewhere along the way and forgot to pick it up again. The show was about the Korean war, but lasted longer than the war itself.

I was wondering why no one had mentioned Game of Thrones but realized this was asked in 2015, and it was still good back then (~Season 5 around that time?).
