Do you have two or more monitors on your desk right now?

What is the purpose of this?

Explain why you need multiple monitors. :D

:computer:

I used to also wonder about how much was really gained with having a second monitor. But I wouldn't want to go back to just having one now. Typically it is really useful for multitasking. I can watch videos on one screen while playing games on another. This can be for recreational videos, or even videos related to my study. Before I had two screens I would just listen to audio podcasts or music while gaming at times. The consequence is that certain games become associated with what I was studying at the time.

I suppose it can be more efficient if you working on a project or do computer stuff for a living. For the average user who's just internet browsing or playing games, you don't really need it.

Triple monitors at home (4K OLED for gaming, one 1440p for Spotify, and another 1440p for Discord)

Ten monitors at work for systems monitoring, reference materials, and most used instances/tools.

I have 2 monitors because that is how my husband set up my computer.. I used to be firmly in the one monitor camp, but then I came to my senses and realized how efficient it really is.. I keep my main monitor clutter free, and use the other one for active tasks like downloads and transfers..

My husband wants to have a 4 monitor setup, but that is what he is used to since he works in IT but that is a bit too much for me..

Two monitors. It’s my WFH setup. One monitor for my data work, one for email, teams, conference windows.

No, but I use two monitors at work.

What is the purpose of this?
It works well for gaming and design purposes. Not having to switch between windows is wonderful.

See above.

I don't have an actual second monitor, but I can use my iPad as a second monitor when I need it.

I usually use it whenever I make websites, so that I can live preview the website on my iPad while programming on my computer.

I also have two monitors.

It is much easier to multitask this way, view and keep multiple tabs on one, work on projects on the other - keep the forum up, Discord, and my Outlook email/calendar resides on the other. Along with any Zoom meetings.
