TAJI, Iraq (March 15, 2010) — A new concept in Iraq's corrections system officially became a reality with the turn-over of the Theater Internment Facility Reconciliation Facility Center (TIFRC) in Taji March 15. The TIFRC is essentially a detainment center with a goal to provide inmates with an environment where they can learn new skills and educate themselves to help their families and be productive citizens when they are released.

It just sickens me the amount of money we have poured into Iraq. Is it any wonder now why the US economy is the way it is. They should have poured this money into creating new jobs here for more than 20,000 US citizens NOT Iraqis.

The total contract value for the project was $70 million. The contractor for the project was ALMCO Company.

Since 2004, USACE has completed 5,257 projects throughout Iraq valued at more than $9.1 billion, and has more than 250 projects ongoing. The overall reconstruction effort in Iraq currently provides jobs for more than 20,000 Iraqis.

Lol its funny to watch now! I am here in Taji right now and since we [US] are backing out lol...they've removed all of the trash dumpsters lol...Porta Potties...lol...Dining Facilities....lol....Took our GOOD tasers and Non Lethal Weapons and replaced them with mediocre cattle prod like objects and batons lol...

I can't wait to leave this place...

But to be honest... The Detainees get better medical care than the US Guardforce here! DEAD SERIOUS!

When are you scheduled to come home?

Due to security measures I can't give you the date but lets just say I will be home by 15th of April!
