Do you ever wish you were somebody else? I feel like I get no respect from anyone... I'm 20 years old, yet I feel like my family treats me like I'm 5... I need to get out of this hell-hold! It's like I go away to college feeling like a man and feeling like I matured a lot, but then come home to this shit. I feel like I'm not good enough for anybody. IDK what to do or how to feel anymore I'm always either sad or angry...

I'm sorry to hear this, Wade. Why are your parents treating you like a 5-year-old? That's just pathetic. I hope you get it sorted out soon and if it's getting far too much for you, you can always move out from them. I know a friend of mine that wanted to move out because he couldn't get along with his mother.

Yeah, I got sick recently which is the only reason I moved back in... I should be good to go soon though it's just hard dealing with them for the time being. And IDK why they treat me like this. I've always been the youngest child, so they baby me a lot I guess... It just got to a point where I'm 20, yet they still tell me how to live my life, what to wear, what to eat, etc... I just wish they took me seriously and treated me like an adult instead of their child... I keep trying to prove myself to them, but they never notice.

I think being the youngest child they still feel a need to protect you. They still think of you as their baby and it's hard for them to realize their baby' is a grown man now. You should sit down with them and thank them for caring so much but tell them you're an adult now and would like to be treated as one. Perhaps they just don't realize how much this is bothering you. It's worth a try to have a sit down with them.
