Information Upgrade to 2.3

Hey all,

We've just upgraded OT to XenForo 2.3, which is a pretty substantial upgrade. You won't notice much on the surface, but this is an upgrade that sets us up for stability for the long haul.

There are still things we're working on, still things that you'll see that aren't finished yet, so please be a little patient while we clean things up a bit; however, if you see things that need fixed, please feel free to let us know and we'll do our best to get on them!

Side thought, I sure am glad the days of updating this forum and pulling my hair out trying to fix all the broken stuff afterwards is behind me. Also being pissed off that I lost half of the sites neat little features because the add-ons are no longer compatible.

I tried upgrading to 2.3 on my phone which worked but I couldn't get on my laptop for a couple hours afterwards and the theme broke LOL

I have noticed that many of the themes are very picky on 2.3. You should also be careful about the apps you install.
Everything done here will be tested on the dev site first.

I've got 36 add-ons and all are from reputable add-on developers. I've got a few of the ones Andy does for the $35 membership. Those are cool.

A few of the ones here were unmaintained, so we looked for new ones to compensate and scaled back on a few unnecessary ones.

One of the things that is not compatible with the new version is out of date browsers on obsolete computers.

The XP machine would log in, but I couldn't do anything.

Which Webster might see as a good thing.

Well that's certainly a complication we didn't foresee, lol.

I tried it again last night.

Fresh power up, nothing else running, first website after browser boot was OT.

Same end result.
