The Paris 2024 Olympics kicked off last week and if you're wondering where the latest Mario & Sonic game is, it seems the series might have been retired.

Lee Crocker, an individual who worked on "all the games in the franchise" put out an announcment on social media claiming the series finished with Tokyo 2020. He goes on to share an image of himself with the Olympic committee president in 2009, where he presented a demonstration of the Olympic Winter Games release.

According to Cocker's official website, he spent 14 years managing the Mario and Sonic Olympic franchise, overseeing external publishing, development, asset licensing from inception to launch, and ensure a timely delivery of high-quality games within a budget. He also credits Sega and Nintendo as being some of the many companies he's worked with over the years.

My 1st time was in the '80s, Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt came together. Fav. console was SNES. Fav. game was Yoshi's Island?
