Video: Officer frees baby skunk from yogurt container

ROCHESTER, Mich. -
Police officers are well-known for protecting people from crime, but on local cop took on a different kind of rescue mission Sunday morning.
A Rochester police officer was called to the 400 block of W. Third Street Sunday for a baby skunk that had its head stuck in an empty yogurt container. The officer drove up to the animal, which was running in circles trying to get the container off its head.
In the dashcam video posted below, you can see the officer creep up to the skunk and quickly pull the container off its head. The officer jumped away, but baby skunks can't spray like the adults do.
