A website has pulled together some of the ugliest web pages on Earth - and they're all still going strong, despite having been designed in the 'good old days'.



Websitesfromhell.com harks back to the nightmarish days when capital letters and fluorescent letters ruled cyber space - often without a picture in sight.

CandyRomeo bills itself as the first 'dog matrimonial' site in India - to a background of awful Indian rock music, its creators have arranged a garish visual assault of dog photos, animated pooches and neon colours.

The majority of those aren't THAT bad. I've seen far worse. They just look like they were designed by people who used templates (such as those provided when registering with 1and1Internet or similar hosting services) rather than custom-made sites. The first one appears to be a Tripod or similar site, again designed through a template where the user simply changes the text and images, rather than altering the HTML themselves.
