There was this online conspiracy recently to move a couple of threads, but I don't think anything came of it.

i guess it would depend on your meaning of absurd and how you use it...

conspiracies aren't absurd if there's evidence, facts, proof, or substance behind the claim...

if there's no substance behind a conspiracy then it's a conspiracy theory...
