First Burger King takes a crack at McDonald's Snack Wrap and now, Wendy's is coming at the Golden Arches with its very own take on the McMuffin. McDonald's fans may be tempted to switch teams on August 22, when this new breakfast item hits menus nationwide.


Hot and buttery. The only two words that can describe Wendy's two new English Muffin Sandwiches. The light and fluffy breakfast additions are topped with a fresh-cracked egg, your choice of oven-baked Applewood Smoked bacon or a savory grilled sausage patty and finished off with melted American cheese.


The new muffin sandwiches are also baked with a one-of-a-kind buttery spread that complements brown butter sweetness with fresh black pepper. Give us all the butter!

Their breakfast is one of the best. Second to that would be White Castle, and after that Burger King.

The only reason I am fond of McDonald's breakfast is because they are the only ones open early enough by the time we hit the road. Burger King isn't usually open either but they are 24/7 on the NJTP..

And since we have moved up here, I sadly have to remove White Castle since they are primarily in the city.. and replace it with Byrne Dairy since there aren't any White Castles up here and the ones that are up this high are somewhere in the MidWest.. Byrne Dairy's sandwiches are good and they are 24/7 so it is a fitting swap..

BUT it would be a bit sacrilegious to not have THE NJ breakfast sandwich... pork roll, egg, cheese on kaiser roll!

Fair, but being that I am a Brooklynite, it's gotta be a scrambled egg, w/ American Cheese (Boar's Head Brand no less) with bacon. The bacon is the most important part and you gotta make sure that you go to a non-halal/kosher place for it otherwise it will be beef bacon, which is gross because you get more fat than meat.. and then put it on a griddle toasted kaiser roll..

That, with a can of Arizona and a muffin is THEE breakfast of champions.. lol
