What are your thoughts on MyBB?

MyBB is a free forum software that I always found was similar to the likes of vBulletin and in a sense Xenforo when that was released. I haven't used MyBB myself in a while but I do know it has not changed too much over the years and still seems to be software that is similar to the paid options.

What are your thoughts on MyBB? Do you still use it?

It used to be good but (I think?) it's the only downloadable popular forum software that isn't mobile responsive as a default. There was great things that were supposed to happen for MyBB but it seems the software is stuck in it's current form.

At one point in time MyBB I would have considered it the best free forum software. However in recent years development has slowed to a near halt.

At this point it doesn't even have a default responsive theme.(There are ones you can download though).

It's my go-to option on the freeware side. It needs some TLC, but I still enjoy using it

At one point it was my favourite forum software but it feels way too outdated now. I have considered using MyBB for a future project but I’m very reluctant to do so after getting a taste of XF. Although a premium theme would add a lot of modern functionality via in-built plugins, I’m still not sure.

I think MyBB is a really popular forum software that you can use for free. It has lots of cool features that can help you create your own online community. I like it because it's easy to use and you can make it look the way you want with different themes. There are also plugins available that can add more stuff to it. A lot of people like it because it's simple and flexible, and there are always people ready to help you out if you need it. But remember, everyone has different needs and preferences, so you should choose the forum software that's best for you.
