A content delivery network is a network of servers around the world that can host some of your content (images, CSS, JS files) and when a visitor visits your site, the CDN can intelligently deliver the content to your visitor from the location closest to them.

Speeding up your site like this can make visitors and search engines happier.

If any of you are using CDNs for your sites, which services are you using? I used MaxCDN a while back and I loved it, but then their prices became too high for me.

Sounds like a nice idea, but I prefer having everything on my one host. Everything still seems to work pretty speedy.
