What were some things you did to kill time during the Covid lockdown?

Did you have to work?

Many people found the Corvid lockdown challenging, but for me, it didn't feel much different aside from doing more online shopping and avoiding stores.
I began taking daily walks outdoors, typically for 40 minutes to an hour. This routine became a regular part of my week, about five days out of seven. Additionally, I started doing beginner body exercises at home about twice a week.

Interestingly, before the lockdown, I was struggling with depression and in a difficult place emotionally. Surprisingly, the lockdown helped me. I became more active, though I had to eventually stop because I unintentionally lost over 4 kilos in a month without changing my diet. I wasn't trying to lose weight. I simply wanted to improve my fitness.

Spent more time fixing home-cooked meals.
Learned to grow Cat Grass.

No workee.

Did nothing but work

The Covid lockdown didn't change much for me either. I still went to work and I was still anti-social on my days off. It did change how I do my grocery shopping a bit, as I stock up on non-perishable and frozen things more. I missed a hair appointment and had to make do without chiro or massage appointments for a few months but my daily routine changed very little.

School, gaming, Youtube, and sleeping

I did nothing that I didn't do before as I am housebound anyway.

Worked from home with odd trips to the office. I work for a home healthcare company involved in treating both active and recovering COVID patients so it was pretty much all hands on deck for us. I manage IT and there were changes to corporate systems to track the COVID patients, do screening of patients before staff went into their homes, and so on plus rejigging a bunch of stuff to support remote work. In November, 2020 I even did interviews (first round virtual, second round in person) and a hire.

Personal life did not change much save no travel, which is often how we spend vacations. We had been to Jamaica just before all hell broke loose and then didn't travel again until Fall of 2022, and that was a domestic driving trip. Our son moved back home for a couple months early in the pandemic but later went back to Ottawa, where he was working and going to university, due to a relationship (she's now his wife).

Oh, I had cataract surgery in Winter of 2022 which was an interesting experience that pandemic measures did have some impact on.

Right before the COVID lock down I had gotten a head injury (a sheet of metal from 4th floor fell down and hit/sliced my head. Because of that I have a traumatic brain injury and had a severe concussion. So during COVID I was basically at home healing and rehabilitating. It was definitely frustrating because there wasn't as much help or therapy that was still open so my progress was very slow to start. But I got most of my memory back and I am no longer bed ridden so I say it's a win. But yeah, most of COVID I was in bed or in rehabilitation.
