What do you guys think about this?

I'm thinking of switching jobs. I currently work in the education field, and I do consultations with students regarding their study plan. I quite like it, however commuting to the workplace is pretty much hell. Can't stand the traffic, can't stand having to wake up super early and coming back home exhausted (also with the traffic which makes me come home late), can't stand having to do that same routine everyday. The pay is just "okay". I've been seeing this job vacancy about being a customer support for an IT company. I've applied a few times and every time they reached out I always passed it thinking it's probably not worth it, after seeing the pay is a little bit lower than what I make now. The job sounds pretty easy and I know some things about what this company does, and they'll provide training anyway. This is also a work from home job which I CRAVE, I really want a wfh job. Should I resign and try this job? Thanks for the advice, and please don't reply mean things

If you feel this is a move you want to try, go for it! It certainly sounds like one that interests you, and the added perks of not dealing with traffic may negate the expense of fuel and therefore the lower wage. Take a risk, give it a go! It might be your starting point to something else, or it might be the job you're perfect for from today onwards!

You will of course miss the interaction with the kids. And having other staff members right there in the staff room to discuss matters is a bonus. But if your job is going to affect your mental and physical health, then you must make the move. Good luck to you with whatever you choose to do.

I would definitely take that chance and switch careers. If I didn't do this myself when I worked for Walmart for six years, I probably would still be working there. I've been at my current employer for four years now and not only do I make more, I love it much better than working in retail.
