I'm a rightie through and through. Which was a struggle the summer I broke my right wrist but I managed.

I don't think I have known anyone who was truly ambidextrous, just lefties who learned to be somewhat ambi due to living in a rightie world. So, yeah, could be interesting.

My husband is a leftie; but has had to adapt to certain right-handed common tools like scissors.

I have been told that in past times kids in Japan were looked down on, re-trained and even punished for being left handed.

That apparently even went on in the West but fairly far back now. I don't recall it happening and I date back to the 70s. But I did hear and read things about it.

I was told that maybe 15 years ago by a young Japanese college student studying here who said that she, herself, was naturally left-handed; and "re-trained". I was surprised and somewhat shocked.

I use my right hand in everything unless I am using fork to put food in my mouth. Than fork is in my left hand and knife in my right hand. I recall using left hand when I switched papers with my friend during exam so that I can do the same tasks (physics) but in a different hand writing so that teacher can't suspect on me. It was a very important grade for my friend. Either pass or fail the year. He passed
