What is a crime of passion?

Can you understand why feelings could cause someone to commit a crime?

It's when you catch your significant other in bed with another (wo)man and you slaughter them both in a fit of rage, and then spend the rest of your life in prison, regretting what you did, because infidelity isn't illegal, but murder is.

There. How's that?
Perfect! ...also its helps to not have a rage problem in the first place :P

In my country, the attacker can kill your child if (s)he wants to, and the courts will set him / her free. If you so much as think of hurting the attacker, much less actually do it, you're spending a portion of your life in jail. That's how my country's justice system works.

So there is no consequences for child murder where you live? That doesn't sound right. :|

On paper, there are consequences for all kinds of crimes, but the justice system is corrupted and rotten to the core. Judges take bribes on regular basis. Every now and then, the Supreme Court makes an example of one or two freshly caught, but it's all a show for the people, to make us think not everyone in the justice system are corrupt.

That sounds terrible. :(

It's one of the main reasons my country is losing population. People are fed up with injustice, so they're leaving for greener pastures.

I don't know. I'd rather not, but I might be forced to if things keep going downhill.
