My fiancee just told me that the United Nations just held a vote to call for a ceasefire in Gaze/Israel, and there was only one nation that said "no." I'll give you three guesses.
...

It was the freaking U.S.A?? Like Totally, WTF? I think it's time to grab the pitchforks, baseball bats, chains, and anything shiny and go storm D.C. and beat some sense into these monsters, so called political leaders. The entire world wants a ceasefire. They want peace, but NOOOOOO, if there's a ceasefire, it'll cut into the massive profits made by the weapons industry and the military industrial complex. Seriously. I really want to leave this god-forsaken (censored) snake-pit.

Kinda sounds like January 6th

I just looked it up because I haven't been following this. The USA and Britain (today's dual world power) are bedfellows with Israel. The ceasefire was drafted by the United Arab Emirates. Israel, Brittain, and the USA want the hostages returned, and proposed amendments to the ceasefire resolution to 1) return the hostages, and 2) condemn Hamas, but these amendments proposed by the USA were rejected. So the USA vetoed, and Britain simply failed to participate.

At least that is what I was able to gather with a quick web search and reading some of the articles about it.
