What is your favorite childhood memory from visiting with your grandparents?

When I was little, my grandma (RIP) would take me to go do anything I ever wanted to do when I went to go see her (like go to the zoo, museum, movies, restaurants, ice skating/roller skating, waterslides, bowling, or whatever I could think of)... She was a great grandma and always tried hard to make sure I was having fun while down there.

I used to love Christmas with my grandparents!

When I was little and I believed in Santa. I'd open up presents at home in the morning, then go to their house for the rest of the day. Christmas dinner, more presents, and my family. I used to love how Santa visited my nan n granddad's as well as my own house.

A really nice atmosphere.

We spend every single Christmas with them. My granddad died when I was 19. My nan died when I was 21. Christmases have never been the same since. But they are such happy memories

Oh when I was little my grandpa used to let me be his caddy when he went golfing. I would drive the golf cart around.. Get him the club he needed.. Etc. Big fun for a 9 year old.

Playing with my cousins, Grandad sitting in his chair watching cricket haha.

I find it really hard to remember good memories now as I watched my grandad dying in his front room. He had Lukemia :/

Our family usually goes to the beach with my grandparents every year, until recently they've been too old to go. However, a few years ago before my grandma was diagnosed with alzheimer's disease, we were at the beach together and that year was the best. First of all, we would go down to their condo unit and she cooked us breakfast and coffee every morning. Then, after breakfast we would go down to the beach and I would play in the sand and each year we made it a tradition to bury someone in the sand. Well, it was my year! My grandma and siblings buried me in the sand and my mom took pictures. After playing in the sand, my grandpa went into the ocean with a float and we rode waves together. A couple days towards the end of our trip, my grandpa and I went fishing late one evening. While fishing, he let me reel in this baby shark. I felt like I caught it and we just had a great time fishing. On the last day, we had a cook out and made really good hamburgers and hot dogs. After the cookout, they took us to this theme park and we had a blast! Great memories.

There were so many....

We visited Daddy's parents every 2 years. We could have lots of day trips during those times, picnics, just sitting outside by the fish pond and listening to stories. Grandmother was just about the greatest woman ever. She could do anything she set her mind to. I thought she was the best.
