What It's Like To Have Insomnia

Do any of you suffer from Insomnia?

Sometimes, my mom and brother had it real bad though.

I think that the longest I've been without sleep is three or four days. But I never thought of it as insomnia, just my lack of interest in sleeping during those years (19-22 years old). Now days my being tired doesn't equal going to sleep nor is it a sign of being able to fall asleep necessarily or that my mind is tired.

I've never really gone more than 48 hours without sleep. I can usually function pretty well up to that point, but once I crash, I'm down and out.

About 10-12 hours or so usually is what it takes for me to recover.

Longest I've been with 1 hour a night is about 3 weeks. Usually get about 4 hours, recently it has been more as I've been getting into work later so don't have to be up as early and my drugs for my tremor make me tired. But when I have insomnia bad it's a nightmare.
