In my home country, $1 can buy a lot of things, for instance,
A pair of socks
A plate of chicken dumplings
A plate of stir-fried noodles
A cup of coffee
Two cups of tea

According to Government data, foreigners traveling to the country spend around $48 per day on average.
What can you buy with one buck?

What a joke! I don't think there's even a candy bar that's a dollar or less. Nothing substantial compared to your dumplings or noodles.

Well we have dollar stores so tons of stuff. Usually items in a smaller size. Household products and snacks.

We have dollar trees around where I live, which is exactly how it sounds. Everything is $1 or under. But at my grocery store, for one dollar, we can get bread, a donut, an éclair from the bakery, that is all I can think of at the moment.
