What would you do when you caught your best friend's girlfriend or boyfriend seeing someone else? Would you tell your best friend the truth? Or would you rather keep it to yourself and let him or her finds it out later?
 
I was faced with this exact same dilemma. At the risk of losing one of them as a friend, I told my best friend that her boyfriend (also a good friend) was seeing someone else. I felt I had to. It was actually the thing that got them to break up. The girl thanked me for being honest, and my guy friend still doesn't really respect me. That's what you have to do sometimes. Truth hurts, but it's better than saying nothing and pretending everything's okay. The girl had the right to know, and it wasn't something that I could keep on my conscience knowing.



You're faced with many hard choices in life, and there is no right answer in some. I'd tell the person. But it's up to you. Depends what you're willing to risk to tell the truth.



Honesty first, in my books.

Honesty is the best thing you can do - if your friend is no longer your friend because you stuck to your guns, then you know who your true friends are i suppose.
 
I never had this dilemma, but it is something I have always wondering about.

My loyalness is to my friend, not his girlfriend so of course I would tell him.



Unless they were married and had kids... I wouldnt want to be the one to deliver news that would possibly destroy a marriage and break up a family.
 
What if somehow he found out that you knew then he told you this.. SO YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!? .. what would you say?

I said if.. not necessarily have to really know that you knew.

It depends on if I thought that my friend would believe me or not.



I wasn't in this exact situation, but I was in a similar one in middle school. I had this really good friend named Samantha and one day my Mom and I went to the gas station and saw these two kind of older people kiss a little. When they pulled apart, it turned out to be her Dad and another woman who wasn't her Mother!



I thought about telling her, but in the end, I had no proof and if someone randomly told me with no proof that my Dad was cheating on my Mom, I think I would have gotten pissed at them and called them a liar. Not to mention that her Mom hardly knew me and would not believe my word over her husband's.



Like I said, it all depends on whether I'd just make everyone angry at me telling or if they'd actually believe me when I told them.
 
I've never actually come across a dilemma like this actually...

But I'd go with telling your best friend, because if you keep it to yourself

you could definately lose a good friend.
