It's always nice to be very frugal with how we spend money. But there's always that point in time when you're forced to spend a lot of money on a particular something because you really needed it. My Toyota Avalon 2018 model would be the most expensive thing I have ever spent money on. It cost me around $24,500.

Nice car! should last you for a long time. I'm driving a 2013 Sienna & it still runs & except for a few minor 'bumps & bruises' looks pretty new.
I like Toyotas, so dependable with just routine maintenance. (y)

My house. It sold to me in the mid $400,000's a couple years ago. Now worth almost $600,000.

Paying off my medical bills. Those were stupidly over priced. There's a reason why I hate going to the doctors. Great way to get sucked into debt.

Since I've never purchased a house or a car, probably my £700 laptop.

(My university education was way more expensive, but that isn't paid for yet!)

I had to pay some thousand to my grandmother if I remember correctly to buy her car. I also paid some thousand for an online college course but was refunded some since I dropped out. I think those are the only two times I've paid over a thousand for something.

How much were your medical bills?
