What's the worst dream/nightmare you ever had?

I think one of the worst ones I've had, or one of the most annoying ones persay, are the ones where you're trying to sleep in dream and "something" hovers over you and attempts to scream something.

Or ones where you're trying to do something to wake yourself up from the dream and it doesn't work right away

I was laying in bed and someone/something burst into the room. I awoke in a panic to find, yes, I was laying in bed. Happened once and never again. Not sure what was up with me that night. My more usual freak me out dreams are what I call "spider dreams" where I somehow end up blundering into a web or otherwise tangling with eight-legged horrors. I have largely overcome my arachnophobia in waking life (largely being the operative word, certain spiders still freak me out) but in dreams, apparently not so much.

I once dreamt I was *on fire* after witnessing first my front yard burst into flames, then the porch, then my room, then ME. Very distressing.....
