I started reading when I was a toddler. My father was a journalist and he not only bought books for himself but also for his kids. When we saw our father reading, we also picked up books. devices and games were expensive and books were cheaper, therefore, as a kid I read books for entertainment and pleasure. However, as I gradually grew, I started reading for knowledge.

How wonderful! ❣️
"Journalist" meaning....reporter, articles for newspapers? what specifically?

I was read to from being a baby and started to read myself around 4 years old. Always loved books and can't imagine not having something to read.
Not very keen on fiction and prefer bio and autobiography.

From a young age as well. I remember my parents reading to me. We'd go to the library and pick out books. It was always such a special time. I was such an avid reader during school and majored in English literature. Kinda got burned out after that, picked up reading again for a few years and am now burned out again. I do listen to audiobooks, though.
