When someone makes fun of you?

When someone makes fun of you, how does that make you feel? Does it cause you to doubt yourself? Anger? Sadness? What emotion?

It usually does hurt my feelings deep down inside, but I always try to hide the fact that it does. But, as I grow older, I generally care less and less about what people think of me. A sense of maturity enables you to see past their immaturity.

I used to bottle everything and let it fester, but now I've been targeted so many times that I sort of ignore it now. It's just another person calling me another name.

I have very low self esteem, so when someone says to me I don't know, em.. you're ugly, I'm like yeah, well, I all ready knew that

it just goes right threw me.. because I have no pride for myself

I hate when people make fun of me. It has been a constant issue for many many years. Like Emily said, it just hurts my self esteem and is one reason I feel I have such low self esteem. I don't get made fun of as much as an adult, but when I was young...yeah. :/

Meh. I try not to take myself too seriously. And if they're being serious, well...that's pretty mean and they're an asshole.
