Definitely depends on subject matter. I can usually stay calm, but there are certain subjects that are very close to my heart that I can get a little passionate about.

It depends on the subject manner and how they are conducting themselves. Although the way they conduct themselves also applies to people who are agreeing with me. For that reason I have gotten into heated arguments with people who shared my principles and views because I thought they were arguing in an undignified manner.

You got mad at someone for agreeing with you? :P

Yeah, depends on the subject matter, and how the other person is acting. But I do try my best to act calm, even if I don't always feel calm.

Depends on the topic. As with everything everyone experiences things differently or different opinion of something.
Now when it comes to the difference of Facts and Opinion then that could change the direction a little bit. If its wrong information when their are facts regarding it and inaccurate then its more of an opinion based on another experience or thought and theory or the person is misinformed.

it depends what the subject is, if i strongly disagree i will get right into the conversation and get my word across.. but if its something i don't have any clue about i'll just say bye and leave haha

I always stay calm no matter how pissed off I am.

Typically, the one who loses their cool first loses the argument and sometimes riling a person up is an attempt at gaslighting them. It is kind of like throwing everything you have against the wall to see what sticks.

If you are busy defending yourself against b.s. then it could be used as a diversion tactic to get you to cede your position. Those that don't have a leg to stand on often rely on this, which is why I don't argue with idiots.

It depends on the subject matter. I'd stay calm most of the time but if I find myself getting emotional I'd try to leave/end the conversation asap

I can stay calm. What's the point in overreacting? That person is either a) trying to get a rise out of you, or b) not going to be convinced otherwise. It's interest to hear what other people have to say.

Same here, it gets so exhausting when you're going back and forth with someone. Usually each person is just repeating themselves over and over again.
That can be said about any and all religious debates. I've never witnessed any one walk away from those arguments with a changed mind, for the reason the majority go into the debate being obstinate.

It really does depend on the subject. General topics are easy to discuss without getting heated (mostly) , but personal matters ........... yep I've been known to get emotional
