Which is better: Rollerblades or Rollerskates?

Hey everyone, between rollerblades and rollerskates which do you prefer and which do you think is better for general use, and why?

I have much more experience with roller skates, so I think they are MUCH easier to master. They give you good balance and allow you to spin in place much easier.

I used to play street hockey growing up so rollerblades for me. easier to maneuver

Hmm, I think I tried rollerblading once, and they felt really heavy and not easy at all.
At that time, it was quite a challenge, but I guess with practice, I could have improved....who knows?

I did go ice skating once as well, and I enjoyed it a lot, even though I was holding on for dear life to avoid falling. If I went more I think I’d get the hang of it on the ice.
I’ve never tried roller skates, so I can't really compare.

Depends on where and how you plan to use them. For street use, roller blades would be better. Keep in mind though if you skate outside and hit a rock often your wheels will come to a dead stop and toss you. It's very hard to skate outdoors in areas that aren't well groomed. Also, rollerblades are better for hockey.

For indoor skating, rollerskates are awesome. We used to do "skate dancing' competitions, etc. Roller skating on a wooden floor is really the BEST

I like using roller blades more. I use to play ball hockey with roller blades.
