Which vegetable do you hate eating the most?

With most vegetables, including beets, it is the way they are prepared.

For instance.

If your idea of "beet salad" is canned sliced beets with some vinegar and a bit of onion... well, you may wish to try something like this

Turnips and Lima Beans. :green:

Can't think of any food I'd hate, just poorly cooked or poorly made foods, that'll always put a damper on it.

With veggies, OVER-cooked is usually the problem.

For example, when I was MUCH younger, my grandmother would open the can of vegetables.... didn't matter what it was, corn, peas, mixed, green beans, whatever... and put them in a pan on the stove and bring them to a full boil for several minutes.

By the time she was done cooking the already cooked vegetables, there really wasn't much point to eating them.

My wife HATES Brussels Sprout.

Well, she did. I learned how to do this with FROZEN sprouts, unbreaded, sliced in half, you have to make sure they are DRY before you fry them just until the leaves begin to brown. And I usually put a little melted butter and garlic powder on them.

Even she will eat those.

i can't do sweet potatoes or most types of squash and have a gag reflex to brussel sprouts for some reason. i'm not too keen on cooked cabbage or cauliflower either. for me, beets need to be fresh, shredded and made into borscht or just eat raw with salad. same with most vegetables. there are very few i will eat out of a can.

Boiled zucchinis served pipping hot. It doesn't get much yummier than that aye?

Well, I don't mind vegetables in general but they're not my exactly my favourite thing to eat. But if I were to choose a least favourite vegetable I would say that Brussels sprouts are my least favourite, I think that almost every time I've tried them I've almost vomited, I've definitely gagged each time.

I really don't like sweet potatoes. Everyone in my family loves them except me. I've tried to eat them, but the taste just doesn't appeal to me. Other than that, I really love vegetables!
