On guard playing the PSP and not a rifle in sight? I'm not sure that a little hand held is going Deter and, if necessary, repel adversaries by enabling individuals and small units to engage targets with accurate, lethal, direct fire. even with it's spring-loaded UMD drive.

Nice photos though, glad to hear you're coming back safe.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing them with us. Good question: Why is the Navy in Iraq? I thought you were suppose to be on a ship.. Hmm.. Interesting place nonetheless. @Anna: I am always in the Navy...My uniform may be green and stuff but it still says U.S. NAVY on it...lol... The actual working Army treats us like we came and took their job...but the HIGHER UP Army tells us they asked us to come because they know the Navy can get the job done effectively...



@Jughead: The Navy is doing a number of things in Iraq but our main mission in Iraq and Afghanistan would be Detainee Operations. We run prisons full of Iraqi Criminals, mostly terrorists! Yeah you may be thinking of Abu Ghraib and the incident that happened with two Sailors and the detainees....WE DONT CONDUCT BUSINESS LIKE THAT!...We care for the detainees and do it in a manner that shows dignity and respect to the detainees as well as the Iraqi Government who we are also training to take over the Prison facility that I currently work in!



IRAQ IS NO FUN! ITS BORING!

@Evil Eye: Hahaha whenever you see pictures, we are all generally relaxing...we don't have time to take pictures when we are busy, but for the most part the Navy is Combat Support so its pretty boring.
