Do you call them an inside joke?

Do you think calling your userbase names us as “members” or “forumites” is practical?

What else do you call them?

It kind of varies, but "Members", "Forum Members" are probably the usual. Some I might consider "friends" but there's a deeper meaning to that for me so I don't apply to most online relationships. I do sometimes just use "Community" as a collective noun for them as a group.

"Contributors" sounds more like I'm running a magazine or something. I might use it for certain types of sites, e.g. a writing site, but not a social one.

"Forumite" and "Forumer" just sound odd to me, esp. the first.

I call them users.

However this should be forum specific for unique flavour. Here on off topic they would be called chatterboxes as an example.

Nice! :gathering:

As a user title I'd say "Members" is reasonable.
As a general way of reference, I'd just call them friends (and thus my vote).

I’m so glad I made this thread.
