Which person/people have influenced you the most?

For me, it would have to be my Grandad. He's taught me lots of life lessons that his Mother taught him. He's also taught me that life doesn't have to be all that serious, and that the small things in life often outweigh the bigger things in life.

I can't name one single person that way. Several people have had a greater impact on me than most others, but no 'one' has had the most that I am aware of.

I am an amalgam of everybody I've ever know, worked for, was/am related to, went to school with... etc.

Including some of the people on here.

My dad without a doubt. He was not only my dad but my best friend. He taught me to never say I can't do this and to always set the bar high. He taught me if you can dream it, then you can do it. When I was bullied (called names, beat and spit on) he taught me how to fight back. Not with physical but mental fighting. Just ignore them he would tell me because if they get no reaction then they would get bored and move to their next victim. He was right.

My dad was always there for me no matter what. When cancer took him away from me, I was so very angry. Then one day I was lost in the woods and couldn't find my way out. I sat and cried. I started talking to my dad and told him I would never get out of the woods. I got up and started walking. All of a sudden I saw a cottage with lights on. I ran to the cottage for help but when I reached the cottage it wasn't there. I was standing to the opening of the parking lot. This is a true story and I know it was my dad that showed me the way out. My dad is still with me even though I cannot see him. Everything I accomplish in life, I can thank my dad for.
