Who was stricter Mom or Dad?

In our household mother ruled the roost. Whenever father saw us misbehaving he would alert mother but never on his own reprimand us or punish us.

For me, it was my dad. But, it had framed me for my life.

As a kid, I'd say my dad was stricter. I was a mama's boy, so I got away with a lot with her.

I grew up with both of my biological parents being pretty strict on me. My father was way more strict on me though when I lived with him. I wasn't allowed to hang out with friends, watch tv, play video games, or browse on the Internet. It was homework, reading, and chores. If I didn't do something right, then my father would be aggravated with me for days. When he got mad, he stayed mad.

Dad was almost what I would liken to a military man. Man gave us iron discipline. And in a way, it really helped to shape us. I am grateful for that today.
