A powerful video which explores the impact a mother’s words can have on her daughter has sparked thousands of comments online.

The video has prompted some to wonder what they would be like as parents. One person comments on the YouTube thread: ‘I’m scared that one day when I become a mom, what if I’m one of these moms. My mom supports me and calls me beautiful but what if I shame and criticize? That scares me.’

While many have posted to say it makes them thankful to have amazing mums that always support them, another person writes: ‘My insecurities only became my insecurities when my mom pointed them out to me.’

One user simply comments: ‘This hit me right to the heart.’

You've got to love "the mother's" facial expressions in the video.

I don't know, and I don't care enough to look it up, but something just felt phony about the whole thing.
