Why do some gadgets constantly crash?

Turn it off and on again seems to be the usual advice given when you are on the phone to the IT helpdesk. But why do these faults happen in the first place?

My guess would be that because most 'stuff' is made by humans, and it is usually used by them too.



If you take one or the other of those out of the equation, it should improve the reliability significantly.

I have this problem constantly with my phone. Have to take the battery out and put it back. Seriously annoying. I cant wait till i get rid of this thing!
