Why is Nancy Pelosi still here?

After the Democrats got beat handily (on one front), Nancy Pelosi is still the speaker. That doesn't make sense. She is a moron, why not put someone else in charge?

Um, John Beohner is Speaker of The House now.. Or will be once the election results are enacted.

The new Congress will not officially be seated until January.



This is what is appropriately called the Lame Duck Session between the election and the swearing in of the new members.



A few members have been seated as they replaced members who had left the congress for one reason or another.



So Pelosi is still the speaker and can go about doing her thing for another month or so.
