The short answer is no. Not a single disease, but a loose group of many hundreds of diseases, cancer has been around since the dinosaurs and, being caused by haywire genes, the risk is hardwired into all of us. The longer we live, the more likely something might go wrong, in any number of ways. For cancer is a living thing – ever-evolving to survive. Yet though incredibly complicated, through genetics we’re learning more and more about what causes it, how it spreads and getting better at treating and preventing it. And know this: up to half of all cancers – 3.7m a year – are preventable; quit smoking, drink and eat moderately, stay active, and avoid prolonged exposure to the midday sun.

Thoughts?

I don't believe we will, its far to complex, cancer as it stands mutates far too quickly, too fast for our research to catch up.
Unfortunately you're probably right, but I hope they do find a cure one day. Cancer has taken a few of my loved ones.

Cancer is evil, it has also taken a lot of my loved ones but unfortunately its far to progressive for anyone to take action at least in our day and age.

You'd think we would have figured it out by now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the cure already exists in some lab out there, but the government is purposely hiding its existence from the world. When you think about it, do we really want to cure cancer and extend people's lives on an overly populated planet that's running out of resources as it is? Who are we doing a favor by condeming them to life in this pathetic excuse for a world?

I agree with Merciless because there's not just one kind of cancer. There's over a hundred registered types of cancers. It would be years before they could invent a method to successfully treat one or more of them.

Its really sad but we just don't have the time or resource. Not when the CEO of most cancer charities are on a 6 figure salary.

I don't know about that. People have funneled millions of dollars into cancer cure projects and come out empty handed because the Medical Science needs more empirical research before it can make another step in the right direction. Through trial and error researchers will be able to fix it.

Yeah what I mean't by resource was a dig at the fact the CEOs are on 6 figures.

There are non profit organizations that are trying to research and get funding to tackle certain kinds of cancers. Not everyone is in it for the money.

Of course and I respect that but here in the UK there's been a huge thing a couple years ago about the CEOs I mentioned, not all of the organizations are in it for the money of course not but it is sad that some are.

They have shown in clinical studies that cannabis oil injected directly into tumors will kill them outright. I'm fully of the opinion that the cure for cancer is already out there and being held back as the world struggles with over population.

I wouldn't be surprised either, but that would be a horrible thing to do! 😠
There's over a hundred registered types of cancers.
Probably even more than that!

Is there anything weed can't do?

Although cannabis has helped I don’t think it will cure cancer unfortunately.
