Stupid Microsoft not supporting my CPU means I've had to revert back to Windows 10. Already missing the look of Windows 11 :(

Yeah, should ahve that option. FOr me I have no more drive space LOL
But how big is Windows 11 tho?

Yeah I tried the compatibility checker, and it says I cannot run Windows 11 too..

Say what, If windows 11 was working, then why not working now LOL So they stopped supporting your CPU then. What CU do you use?

AMD Ryzen 5 2500U

Because I was in the Insiders Program, they ignored some CPU's to allow you to test and try it out. Mine is not officially supported so I'm not sure if I will actually be offered the upgrade or not tomorrow.

Och, well there is an workaround for that, Able to get windows 11 going and cheating the system that it's thinking you have another CPU :P

SAme for my laptop, Has TMP 2.0 enable but CPU is weak :( USing the I5 5200U

I tried running an update on my alienware it has i7 7700HQ and Windows 11 is not compatible.. Like wtf.

What is the workaround for it. I will do a bit of research to figure this out.

Workaround yeah, is it a good idea, Nope. Windows are like, YEAH! do it but we will not support future updates for you :(

Yeah, there's that! I don't know why they would restrict so many processors.

My husband installed Win 11 last night and he had to do a registry hack because his motherboard didn't have something soldered onto it for a trusted device? Is that what the problem is with compatibility? I'm not sure how long it took him to get things going because I was doing other stuff but it didn't seem like it took him a long time because he sent me a screen shot when he was done.

I like Windows 11 but not enough to do the workaround, to be honest. Not being supported for future updates and security patches is probably not a good route to go down

My system is ready, But waiting till it's more stable and patches are fixed, at the moment AMD is just getting ripped with bad performance. They thought they fixed it and made it worse.

Anyway, in the new year, most pre-builds will be ready. Not done my end as I have too much save work and sounds system hardware and software and whatnot.
