This is very good, and what is more interesting which drew my attention to this is that she had to cancel a talk due to serious death threats.

Hmm... comments AND like/dislike feature were disabled on all the videos. They claim the comments are closed due to hate but why was the like/dislike feature disabled? For someone so passionate about the topic, they seem to not be all that interested in feedback in any form which says a lot about how passionate they are about it if they can't take the hate that comes with offering what maybe an unpopular viewpoint.

By the way, messing with the games and other media won't change a thing. The problem lies in the beliefs of men to prefer things to be this way then the actual media itself. That's just a result of having a belief that women are inferior to men. You change the beliefs of a man then he will quit wanting things to remain as they are but that doesn't make any money hence why no one talks about that issue.

the thing is though, that not being a big gamer myself, I had no idea this kind of stuff was even in games. Looking at Grand Theft Auto for example, it may be a game for 'adults' but you know teenagers are playing these games. Is this really how as a society we want guys viewing women? There are a lot of valid points to her videos.

I'm pretty sure this is the woman who had a Kickstarter and got people to donate money so she could play videogames in the name of "research" into feminist issues.

Very passionate, that she wouldn't do it unless she got paid to.

Also, I say this whenever someone uses the "videogames cause violence" argument. Grow the fuck up. Go outside, grab your thrift store scarf (it's chilly out), and start fighting the real issues.

So as a woman you are not offended by the way that women are used in these games?

You don't think that this would have any impact on the way young men, who play long hours of these games, would view women in society?

How is it than any number of thousands of people can have youtube channels, but this woman who has one on this topic is suddenly viewed as being self-promotional and in it for the money?
and even if she is doing it as in income, is that any worse than anyone else who expresses their views for income?

I am a man, and I actually think that violence against women is a real issue.
