Worst bite/sting

When I was younger, I jumped in a pile of leaves. There were yellow jackets in the leaves. I was wearing shorts and I got stung at least 10 or more times on my legs. I ran back to the house and they were flying all around me. My dad managed to get me inside without him getting stung too.
Once inside, I started having a problem breathing and swallowing. My dad rushed me over to the base hospital. They started me on an IV immediately. Found out later that I was having a severe reaction called anaphylaxis which would have been fatal without immediate medical intervention.
To this day, I have to carry a bee sting kit with me at all times.

I have a scar on my arm from when I was stung by a bee when I was nine - so getting on for thirty years ago now! I still remember it hanging, via it's sinewy guts, from the sting lodged in my arm. Not an enjoyable experience by any stretch. Rendered even worse by my Aunt's attempts to "suck out the poison". BarF!
