It won a Nobel for Literature.
If "Seinfeld" was a show about nothing.
Mann wrote the book for it a hundred years earlier.
I was supposed to read the accursed thing for a class in college, and listen to lectures about it, and so on.
I wanted to read it. I tried to read it. I even wrote several insightful reports on parts of it, and got decent grades on them. I don't think I can say I've READ more than a dozen pages of the thing.
The book is unreadable. Period. I don't care how drunk you get. I tried.
Trust me on that one.
