I did the same thing, at about the same age. Cut myself some bangs...I did, I did!

While I was there, I cut off my eyebrows and one set of eyelashes, too. My mother was mortified.


The mother's curse works; at about 5 years of age, my son took a pair of scissors to his head, cutting just a bald strip, shortly off-center. His dad was so disgusted by it, he took him and shaved his whole head bald...long before bald heads were all-the-rage. I cried every time I looked at him, for weeks.
