For me, It's about respect. I think I should keep my money in my bank account and my girlfriend keeps her money in her bank account. Everyone wins. If the other one is having troubles, I think it's reasonable to help them out. Seeing as we're both divorce, In our previous marriages her ex husband took all of her money and my ex wife took all of my money. So we both had bad partners that left us penniless.
