What memory from your childhood makes you think "wow we were poor"?

We didn't live for money and it was never the objective or something we measured poorness with. I was never lacking anything instead I learned to see what I need and what I don't. When I did get something I wanted, it usually made me really very happy instead of getting something, everytime I wanted something and see no value in anything.

What I do see as being raised in poor environment is the model for relationships and friendships and how to view others. I found myself lacking in those areas growing up.

Being on welfare, living in a housing authority house and buying food with food stamps.

Never. I was born into a middle class family where I learned working hard paid off. I worked hard. I am middle class myself now.
