This makes me feel sick! In fact I think those rightfully imprisoned should have to pay their living costs, rather than us, taxpayers! That should deter the less well-off going to prison to get free accomodation.

Instead the innocent have to pay living costs and the guilty escape.

Oh shoot, even worse, trial evidence was withheld, and the lesson learnt here is to always check the past history of the witnesses. Can't believe this isn't a done thing, but I suppose it's an easy thing to overlook.

The police evidence included photographs of the victim's hands which showed the fingernail of the rape victim's left middle finger was noticeably shorter than her other fingernails, which corroborated her evidence that she scratched her attacker's face.

In his judgement, it was also noted that two eyewitnesses who identified Mr Malkinson had convictions for dishonesty offences.
