X Factor boss Simon Cowell said Frankie Cocozza has ''blown a wonderful opportunity'' after the teenage hopeful was axed from the competition amid allegations he boasted about taking cocaine.

Cowell said the 18-year-old had ''no one to blame but himself'' after he was booted out of the contest after breaking its rules.

Programme bosses will make an announcement today about how Saturday's programme will pan out following Cocozza's unexpected exit.

Cowell told the Sun: ''Frankie's blown a wonderful opportunity. It's very sad, but he has no one to blame but himself.''

Today it was reported that show bosses had been forced to act after he bragged of taking drugs in front of production staff. He allegedly confessed to snorting cocaine during an all-night party that followed his much-derided performance on Saturday night.

Cocozza's mentor Gary Barlow said he was ''hugely disappointed'' that the singer had ''thrown away'' the opportunity after Cocozza admitted he no longer ''deserves'' his place in the ITV show.

[font=tahoma, geneva, sans-serif]Guess he's admitting using cocaine. People like this really piss me off. They get an opportunity and they blow it!

After this happened, it's said that the show will definitely get axed soon. Go ahead and do it, ITV. The show's been going downhill since about two years ago

Speaking of money, each of the X Factor contestants were payed £3000 when they all appeared in the recent Marks & Spencers ad and what did he do with the cash given? Spent it on nothing but cocaine. What a dick... and I think from now on he should be called Frankie Coke-cozza. About the ad, it was then redone without him this time.

Very interesting and I didn't know any of this. I love your new name for him!
