X Regime made people selfish

I don't think so because people are selfish anywhere, no matter the regime.... You could argue that capitalism/communism made people selfish, but no, it's just an excuse to hide our selfish nature.

What's your own thoughts about this?

Of course people are selfish. (And yes, selfishness can be altruistic.) How else would you expect them to survive?
